The Congress participants who arrive at Otopeni- Henry Coanda International Airport, in Bucharest, will receive free bus transfers to Poiana Brasov.
One bus will leave on 4th September at 13:30.
On 5th September buses will leave at 10:00, 12:00, 15:00 and finally at 17:00.
Those who come to the Baneasa airport will be collected 30 minutes earlier than the above times. An agent will meet them in front of the Information Office at the International Arrivals terminal.
- Those who catch the buses before 12:00 may have the chance to visit the royal Pelesh Castle in Sinaia, if the royal family is not in residence. Entrance fee = 15 Euro. Open 9:00 - 16:00.
- Those who arrive in Poiana Brasov before 16:00 will be able to take the cable-railway to the top of the Bucegi Mountain from which, if the weather is fine, there is a magnificent panoramic view.
The distance to the final destination by bus is 180 kilometres.
After the Congress concludes, there will be free bus transportation on September 9th. 3 departure times will be available based on the needs of the participants, the last one arriving at Otopeni Airport at 17:00.
For those who have later flights the organisers will try to arrange transport on September 10th, leaving at 08:00 arriving at Otopeni Airport about 12:30 and at Baneasa airport at 13:15.
Those who want to drive by themselves to the destination may rent a car in the Airport, at a rent-a-car agency. HERTZ Company offers different car models at different prices, and it is open from 8:00 to 20:00. According to the engine capacity of the car and its standard comfort the prices for renting a car for 5 days may vary from 300 to 550 Euro (plus 19% VAT). Hertz Co. The participants whose travel schedules mean that they cannot take advantage of the free bus transport, and do not wish to drive themselves, could take a taxi to the Central North Railway Station in Bucharest City (average fare 70-80 RON - about 25 Euro). They should then take the train to Brasov (about 3 hours).
Trip to Brasov from the airport by train
From Otopeni airport there is a bus/train connection to Bucharest North railway station in each hour. The first transport departs at 05:56 from the airport by bus. The bus arrives at "Aeroport h" railway station at 06:13 and from there the train "Henri Coanda Expres" departs at 06:23, arriving to Bucharest North railway station at 07:04.
This transportation is available in each hour (05:56, 06:56, 07:46 and so on), the last one starting at 22:51.

How do you get from Brasov railway station to Poiana Brasov?
The distance is 15 kilometres through pleasant countryside.
Buses run every 30 minutes from and to the city of Brasov. There are plenty of taxis available. A reasonable taxi fare can be negotiated, about 40 RON (15 Euro).
