Call for papers

The full text of papers should be submitted before 31st December 2008.
The time allowed for each presentation is 15 minutes maximum, followed by 5-10 minutes for discussion. Time-keeping will be strict.

Rules for sending the papers:

  1. All presentations should be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
  2. We cannot accept papers sent by mail or fax.
  3. Abstracts should not have more than 250 words. Abstracts cannot include graphics, sketches or pictures.
  4. The font should be Times New Roman size 12, with single line spacing.
  5. The title of the presentation has to be written in capital letters, not longer than two rows, and the name of the author should be underlined. The identification of the author should encompass the following, in the listing order: first name initial; last name; institution; department; city; country.

The papers should be sent, preferably in Microsoft Word format, by email to the following address: drhj@jablonski.se and alveress@clicknet.ro

All the accepted papers for presentation should be presented by the authors listed in the Congress book. If the author is unable to attend in person he/she may request permission from the Congress Secretariat to nominate a replacement. Such a request must be made in writing in good time.

All papers will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and will be accepted or rejected at their discretion. Please do not call regarding the status of your papers.

Note to Authors

Accepted papers will be published in the Congress book. Submission of a paper constitutes the commitment of at least one author to register for the Congress and present it. Any expense associated with the preparation, submission, and presentation of a paper is the responsibility of the author / presenter.
In order to be part of the Congress Programme, the author / presenter must register by May 15th 2009 and must submit payment at this time. There will be a bookstand where authors may sell their own books at a discount of 30%.

The Scientific Committee will only accept papers from authors who are paid-up members of either a national Balint Society or individual members of the International Balint Federation. (The annual fee for Individual members of the IBF is 70 Euro.)

Audio – Video technology

The conference rooms are equipped with computers, projectors and microphones.
All presentations should be in Microsoft PowerPoint format on CDs or memory sticks. Please do not use re-writable disks. Arrangements can be made for you to use your own laptop if required.
